Any temporal anomalies around that could help?
Thanks, folks.
The cruise fire of last week gave me a bit of a worry, but it was not their ship.
The daffodils are blooming here, so Mother Nature has decided, it appears, to give mankind another chance.
Well, like I guessed awhile ago, we've skipped the cooler spring weather, and gone straight into May here. Daffodils have bloomed and faded. Weeping cherry in full bloom, as are the bluebells and rhododendron. Redbuds are coming out full of glory this year. Lots of new green all over the place. I do love springtime!
Weeping cherry, redbuds and rhododendrun are still spectacular. My little dogwood only has two flower buds opening, but others in the neighborhood, pink and white, are coming out nicely now. Magnolias' brief glory is over. Tulips are now opening. And looks like my Lilies of the Valley have multiplied this year. Columbines are about to bloom as well. Coriopsis is really shooting out of the ground. I'll have to dig some up this year, as they spread rather aggressively. Oh, and the bluebells are still spectacular.
Finally got our first day of summer weather here in London - and it had to be the day of us volunteers sorting out the cricket ground for the new season.
3 hours of hard labour, cutting and pruning trees, brambles and such, and getting all the equipment set up.
I shall sleep well tonight!
If you want to see a bit of what we got up to, check here:

Ian, how'd you avoid the camera?
I was the one using it!
I did actually do a few hours work first. My shoulders still ache.
Anyways, off to Milton Keynes to meet some actors now. Will be back on Sunday.

Thanks for the pictures, Ian!
I've been on vacation (April 22 to April 29) in Myrtle Beach, SC, since I was here last. Unfortunately, I've had a bit of bad luck. On April 3 my car was hit when I was stopped at a stoplight, it was still driveable, and I entered physical therapy for my left side- neck and back. On the last day of vacation, April 28, we were broadsided by a woman running a red light. The car was totalled, and thank goodness I had mainly bruising and whiplash and my husband was fine. We haven't heard yet about the other driver, an elderly lady, so I hope she is OK. So now I am in PT for my right side. We had to rent a car to get home and are negotiating now for a car to replace the other. My husband is now a firm believer in side air bags- it saved me from more serious injury.
I'm watching Survivor right now, a surprising finale. Anyone else watching this season?
*hugs bmat carefully*
Damn Bmat! I am glad you are mostly ok.
I've been watching Survivor this year. Haven't watched the finale yet, but read all the spoilers. I was rooting for Circe, but glad she made it to the final four.
Ian, hope you had a great time.
